Welcome
Serving the Lehigh Valley since 1915
The C.M. Stauffer Insurance Agency has been serving the Lehigh Valley community since 1915, when it was established to write insurance required under the Workman's Compensation Act approved that year by the Pennsylvania Legislature.
Founded by Roy M. Vanwagenen and Clarence M. Stauffer, the firm was selected by the Maryland Casualty Company of Baltimore to be its agent for workmen's compensation insurance in Lehigh County and a broad surrounding area in eastern Pennsylvania. To cover the extensive territory, the firm had some 50 sub-agencies to write the policies and collect the premiums in the six counties within its jurisdiction.

C. Bruce Roehrig entered his father's business after completing his studies at Muhlenberg College in 1966. In 1975 he purchased the agency from his father to establish a single proprietorship.
The company writes a full line of casualty, fire, and marine insurance. Its years of experience, the variety of companies the agency represents, and the broad lines of insurance it offers make the firm an insurance counselor on whom its clients have learned to depend.
